6.     Seek Help When Needed 

Never be ashamed of seeking help anytime you feel your mental health is jeopardized. If you are experiencing these mental health warning signs, it is time to get professional help. Fortunately, there is no shortage of support options, allowing you to identify the one that best suits your needs. Examples of places to turn to when you need help on how to avoid mental health problems include:

  • Your general practitioner; the doctor may perform a diagnosis, offer treatment, or refer you to a specialist. 
  • A trained therapist- you can get referrals from people you trust to work with an expert therapist who will help you achieve healthy levels of mental health. 
  • Anonymous help- if you are not yet comfortable seeking face-to-face help, there is always the option of seeking help anonymously. It will allow you to get expert answers on what positive mental health habits are to stay sane and happy.
